Artist Statement

STATEMENT:

Art is an ever-changing description of ones mentality using different mediums to depict what the self-conscious perceives life, world, people and emotions to be. My pursuit as an artist is to get the viewer to stop and look at the art to brake their 9 to 5 frame of mind. I want my art to provoke emotions, actions, questions, feelings of the past, future but above all what it’s saying about the Word of God and his purpose in all.

I feel my expressions are limited with the physical mediums to convey my spiritual foundation. So my art evolves as I grow spiritually in Jesus to paint what I see. This growth waters
my heart to paint while my prayers reach what cant be seen.

I paint through the eyes of all races and genders to create outside of my own views. My work depicts the flawed as beautiful to strike a cord in the mentality of the
majority. These thoughts flow instantaneously from one frame to the next in a galaxy of slides running in my mind. I want to capture as mush of this galaxy to show the beauty of God’s work that might be perceived as useless and unfit by today standards. I want to paint the truth to try an unveil life in the spirit and in the flesh through art.

In all this I hope to create love and understanding through my gift. Bring people closer to the Lord and get the masses to take time to reflect and question their purpose. Most just consume, complain and do not act. Art can be a tool to begin the proses for understanding and braking these molds.
